We welcome feedback from residents and visitors to help us improve service.
A Resident & Relatives’ survey is carried out each year. In response to the question “Overall, how satisfied are you with this nursing home?” 100% of respondents have reported that they are either very satisfied or satisfied, in the surveys from 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014.

We also use the HappyOrNot computer satisfaction system. The people who provide the HappyOrNot kiosk at reception tell us that the score achieved by the Áras over the past five years for satisfaction is only matched by one other residential centre worldwide. We were blessed to have found the Áras when Ruth required the upmost care. Blessed is not a word we use lightly, but with Ruth’s condition she needed, not just around the clock care, but all the facilities you provided.
Each staff member we encountered over an eight month period were so professional and had that added touch of nature which is exceptional to find… Ruth was always treated with dignity, understanding, compassion and gentleness. The communication of Ruth’s condition and care-plan was always fully explained by your team in liaison with Dr. Sinead O’Beirne. The responsiveness of the nursing staff and the personal care given to Ruth was truly admirable.

Thank you and the staff for all the help and support to Dad and the family over the past five years. Aras Chois Fharraige has become “home” for dad. He has a great relationship with staff and residents. He participates in card games, bingo and music sessions. He liaises with Lazlo on the garden. Staff are very kind to him. The atmosphere in Aras Chois Fharraige is excellent. Visitors and family are welcome at all times and have the freedom of the building. Any concerns in relation to dad are discussed with us. You have also been very good at facilitating visits to the dentist when no family member is available to take him.
